#2 – “Hold onto your butts!”

If you saw the appearance of my blog yesterday, you’ll see that it’s radically altered today. This is the theme that I wanted all along, and I love how it looks. I hope you do too. Let me know your thoughts in the comments, especially if you have trouble with the formatting.

One of the first obstacles that I’m going to have to conquer is getting back into the habit of writing. Long-time friends and followers probably remember I was a prolific blogger a few years ago. That blog has over 600 entries in it with so much established history. Why did I start over with a new blog? Why didn’t I reboot the old one instead? Over the last five years I’ve rebooted the blog three times and only published 10 posts. The time has come that if I want to blog again, I need to do it with a clean slate. I’ll probably refer vaguely back to that blog from time to time, though.

I’m still contemplating how to condense everything I want to include in an “about this blog” page to a manageable size. This really is going to be a catch-all blog about anything my mind conceives. Eventually, I’d like to figure out how to involve categories to keep things sorted, since I don’t believe this theme includes them. If I know anyone that’s a WordPress/CSS expert, please let me know if I can pick your brain about making this blog unique to me.

I’m dealing with the aftermath of a cluster headache from earlier this morning, so this is about all that I have in me to write today. My number one goal is to get back in the habit of writing, so even if it’s a fluff post like today, I’m going to try to post something every day.

Yesterday, Cynthia Sebolt correctly guessed the source of the post title. “Hello there!” was uttered several times throughout the Star Wars Skywalker Saga movies by both Sir Alec Guinness and Ewan MacGregor as Obi-Wan Kenobi! Today’s title should be pretty easy to guess, but they won’t always be that way! Don’t forget to leave your answer in the comments!

  1. The ever amazing Samuel L Jackson uttered that line just before rebooting the computers in Jurassic Park 🙂
